Staff Recognition

Bobby Nipper, Pharmacist at UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital

In my years of training in different geographic regions and specialties, I have come across many individuals from varying backgrounds. And my time here at UF has been no exception.

I wanted to express my gratitude, admiration and respect for one of the pharmacists at Shands Vista, Mr. Bobby Nipper.

In my years of training here, Bobby consistently and conscientiously makes time to teach the residents, provides useful information and resources regarding pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics of medications, helps patients with obtaining medications their insurances' may not cover with the use of manufacturers' coupons or utilizing test scripts to determine which pharmacy may be more cost effective for the patient, is available to provide help or answer questions, and assists with prior authorizations to get patients the medications they may need to treat their underlying medical or mental health diagnoses.

It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with Bobby; I just wanted for everyone to know as he exemplifies the University of Florida's Department of Psychiatry for all of his efforts.

Sincerely,

Maanasi Chandarana, D.O.

PGY-3, Department of Psychiatry
