We are pleased to announce Dr. Joseph McNamara’s new leadership role as Chief for the Division of Medical Psychology.

Dr. McNamara joined the Department of Psychiatry in 2009, after completing his Ph.D. in both Counseling and in Developmental Psychology at the University of Florida.  A prolific teacher and scholar, Dr. McNamara has advanced the Department’s clinical and research missions as Research Director and Co-Clinic Director of the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) program, and as Director of Online Education.  Since 2016, he has served as the Interim Chief for the Division of Medical Psychology, offering steady leadership and demonstrating solid administrative and clinical skills.  Please help us congratulate Dr. Joseph McNamara as he assumes this new leadership role, and support him as he continues to lead transformational growth in the Division of Medical Psychology.
